Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account: when you register we store your username, email address and password (the password is stored only in a protected, hashed form, so nobody, including us, can read it). If you sign in with Google, we only receive the name and email address needed for the account.

Site activity: comments and posts you publish, likes and reactions, points earned through games and predictions, and article reads. All of it is linked to your account so community features can work.

Newsletter: if you subscribe, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

Contact form: when you write to us, we keep your name, email address and message so we can reply.

Push notifications: if you turn them on, we store your device's technical subscription (no personal data) so we can notify you about new articles. Turning notifications off deletes the subscription.

Statistics and local storage

The site does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking tools.

The site keeps its own visit statistics, without Google Analytics and without cookies, and never stores IP addresses. To recognise returning visits, a random anonymous identifier (and the date of the first visit) is kept in your browser's local storage; it contains no personal data, is not shared with other sites and is used only for site statistics. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings. If local storage is unavailable, a visitor is recognised only by an anonymous fingerprint that is created anew every day (the daily random value is deleted after two days). For signed-in members the statistics are linked to the account. We record visited pages, where the visit came from, country and city (estimated from the network), device and browser type, reading time and loading speed. The data is kept for 25 months and is used only to improve the site.

For internal statistics we count, without any personal data, how many times the sponsor banner is loaded, seen and clicked, and how many devices use the installed app (through a random anonymous device identifier).

The site uses browser local storage for technical needs: keeping you signed in, remembering your language, text size and similar preferences.

How we use data

Data is used exclusively to run the site: account sign-in, showing your comments and points, the leaderboard, replying to messages, and sending the newsletter and notifications you opted into.

We do not sell or share data with third parties, except for the technical services required to run the site (hosting infrastructure).

Your rights

You can delete your comments, unsubscribe from the newsletter or turn off notifications at any time.

To delete your account and all related data, or for any privacy question, contact us at info@madridismo-balkan.com or send a message to our Facebook page.

Minors

The site is meant for all fans, but we recommend parental or guardian consent for registration of persons under 15.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on the site, and the date of the last change is always shown at the top of this page.
