Real Madrid basketball coach Pedro Martínez admitted in his press conference after the win over Maccabi in Belgrade that his team struggled, especially in the first quarter.
The key, he said, was that the players never gave up, kept fighting and doing the right things, and turned around a game that looked very difficult for a long time.
He highlighted the number of assists. With a tight defence near the basket, the good chances came from beyond the arc, and many of the assists led to those shots.
